 Slovakia is a country rich in historic fortified or representative buildings, constructed as dwellings, not only in AD but also in the BC periods. These monuments are the oldest evidence of the life of our ancestors and they reflect the particular epochs. There are twenty of the most interesting Slovak archaeological locations in the book. "We are aware of the fact that our choice can provoke polemics and not everybody must identify with our ideas," write publishers. "Nevertheless, we intended to choose such localities that breathe with history and richness of archaeological artefacts and that are attractive for tourists as well."
