Devil Island |
 We started our canoe trip in Cunovo, just below water sport area. Soon after kilometer 1848 on the old Danube River is a right turn to Hungarian Danube River branches.

 There is an island named Devil Island - Ordog Sziget.

 The lake at the Devil Island is a favorite site of Hungarian water tourists.

 The stream just at the turn to the lake is relatively fast. Capsizing is possible. Tourist have more fun there.

 There is a camping site - Vadviz Camping - soon after Dunakiliti bridge.

 Beer and accommodation are available.
There are more canoe routes from the camping. The most often used is a route to the Dunasziget camping. Map.
During our trip we used a route along the old Danube River.

 There are two obstacles at the branches below camping. The first is a concrete dam.
|
 The second was a narrow water pass.
|
 Then branches became larger. At the Danube kilometer 1837 we went back to the old Danube River.

 After 2 kilometers we returned back to Slovakia and finished our kanoe trip at the Sulianske jazero lake.
