"Andrej Barcik has intensively occupied with nude already in 1947 - 1953. Female nude. It was his relationship to woman - a concrete model - and its representation. But it was also a relationship-desire to express the principle of an absolute woman. In his later drawings of nudes, therefore. Barcik not only seeks the form of a woman, he finds her essence. The essence of woman rests in knowing the magic code of woman."
