Dolna Strehova village is in the northern part of the Ipelska Kotlina Hollow near the Velky Krtis town. The village is known as a birthplace of the poet Imre Madach.There is the Museum of Imre Madach.

Thermal pool in the village offers five pools with thermal water (temperature of water is 36°C). There are playground and camping in the area of the thermal pool.
