His wife Maria born 28th of November 1874.
Still no place of birth for either of them?

Thank you, this puts us back on the Kmec trail.
In the graveyard that Mary is buried I found the following spellings of Kmec, Kmetz, Kmet, Kmecik, kmecak.

The spelling KMEC is Slovak, KMETZ is Hungarian, KMET, KMECIK and KMECAK are different family names. You should have found more DVOROVC^IKs than just the one in Kosice. Sure you can send him a letter. It is possible that he knows English or kn

Raymond posted on Austria's Ancestry board so I was following up his posting history. I did a www.google.com and came upon Melanie Devorick's and Dee's post. Dee has mentioned a surname Franczlik so I take that your Franliz might be Franczlik?
