Church records are the way to go and also sending a letter to PALSAs in Hertnik should produce some results.

Your gradnmother Anna Oszif was born in Krasna Luka 21 APR 1896, her parents were Joannes Oszif and Maria Marussa.
Oszif means Joseph in Rusyn language. Your Oszif ancestors were originally Carpatho-Rusyn and greek-catholics.
