Hi,
I am trying to find out more about my surname, which I believe may originate in eastern Europe. The name is "LYGO". I would be very grateful if anyone were to find out any information and could then post it in the forum.

You have some documentation that leads you to present Slovak Republic?
Quick check in www.ellisislandrecords.org 3 LYGOs and 15 LIGOs do show up.
In 1990 census of names there were 13 L~YGOs in Poland.
Did find LIGO in Slovak Republic's p
