Bratislava, April 9 (TASR) - Political analyst Peter Horvath said on Thursday that extra-parliamentary Free Forum (SF) and Conservative Democrats of Slovakia (KDF) the best chance to be successful in the upcoming elections to the European Parliament (EP).
"These elections to the EP will be a kind of litmus paper test. They will show to which extent the success of Zuzana Martinakova and Frantisek Miklosko in presidential election can be transferred to election profits of their parties. When it comes to extraparliamentary parties, SF and KDS are the hottest candidates for getting to the EU, although I think that the chances are limited," Horvath told TASR.
Martinakova's SF will be led in the election to the EP in June by Milan Izak, party vice-chairperson for foreign relations Ludmila Farkasovska, and Maria Levyova. They will be followed in the list of candidates by Miriam Repakova, Milan Placko, Alexandra Pafcova, Peter Lukac, Kvetoslava Matlovicova, Katarina Cselovszka, Lubos Malak, Jozef Dusenka, Jana Kordiakova, Radomir Szabo.
MP and KDS chairman Vladimir Palko has become the leader of the common list of candidates of KDS and Civic Conservative Party (OKS). Palko is followed by Peter Osusky, Alojz Rakus, Tibor Takac, Frantisek Miklosko, Pavol Minarik, Svetozar Gavora, Rudolf Bauer, Maria Majdova, Andrej Pavlik, Marcela Pcolinska, Karol Jadas, and Peter Jesenak.
There are another nine extraparliamentary parties whose candidates would like to become MEPs. Green Party that has handed over its list of candidates to the Interior Ministry, has nominated chairperson of civic association Young Green Jana Budacova, who is followed by Eduard Chmelar, and Olga Pietruchova. They are followed by Miroslav Kral, Eva Drozdova, Juraj Mesik, Lubica Trubiniova, Miroslav Galik, Maria Kuriackova, Milan Barlog, Hana Fabry, Peter Novacik, and Diana Chladekova.
As for the Democratic Party, the list of candidates is led by Branislav Hochel, followed by Pavel Titel, Peter Hrib, Stefan Dutko, Peter Jurik, Jozef Vachalek, Tivor Brics, Tatjana Stefanovicova, Maria Eperjesiova, Vladimir Kokolevsky, Ivan Barin, and Vladimira Aronova.
Communist KSS' list of candidates will be led by Juraj Brecko, Karol Ondrias, and Anna Sotakova. They are followed on the list by Vladimir Chlebo,k Branislav Rusinak, Stefan Borovsky, Michal Kotian, Pavol Susko, Lubica Kleniarova, Juraj Lazarcik, Rastislav Kopecky, and Miroslav Pomajdik.
Sloboda and Solidarita (Freedom and Solidarity) party's list of candidates will be led by Jan Oravec, followed by Emil Burak, Katarina Majdlenova, Richard Svihura, Szilard Somogyi, Jozef Rajtar, Katarina Sliviakova, Richard Fekete, Karol Kyslan, Renata Kascakova, Michal Matousek, Jozef Mihal, and Robert Mistrik.
The list with 13 eurocandidates has been prepared also by LIGA-Civic Liberal Party. It will led to the election by Michal Havran, Martina Cierna, and Michal Geci. They will be followed by Lubos Jelacic, Stefan Jakabovic, Peter Lichner, Lubice Sipulova, Viliam Duris, Antonia Bjalonova, Martin Harach, Eleonora Strapcova, Alexander Keckemethy, and Jan Paprcka.
Also taking part in the election will be Mission 21-New Christian Democracy the list of candidates of which will be led by Richard Schneider.
Roma Initiative of Slovakia will have just one candidate in the election, namely, entrepreneur Jan Blascak.
The list of political subjects registered by the Central Electoral Commission for this year's election to the European Parliament, also includes the Party of Democratic Left (SDL), and Agrarian Party of Slovakia (ASS).
